Landscape Photography
I mostly focus on landscape photography as I love to capture the amazing beauty of nature that I see furthermore going out on a hike or nature walk. Before I take the pictures, I will set the focus mode to manual. I will also set the exposure mode to aperture priority and choose a small aperture setting as the smaller the aperture, the greater the depth of field in the shots. For better and wider view, I always bring along my ultra-wide-angle lens in my kit bag.
Macro Photography
Sometimes, I will take macro photography. Macro photography is quite challenging for me but I like it as it gives me a glimpse into another world. Before taking macro photography, I will close-up filter or magnifying glass that is screwed on to my regular lens to achieve macro magnification without a macro lens. I will use a ring flash to faster shutter speeds for handheld shooting and moving objects as well as to enable the use of smaller apertures.
Event
I also take part in many photography events with my friends. The latest event that I joined is a photography trip to Hat Yai, Thailand. Hat Yai is one of the largest cities in Thailand. I was fascinated by the kindness and hospitably of the local residents as well as the beautiful scenery of Hat Yai. I was able to relieve my stress as well as escape from the fast-paced society for a moment. It was indeed an unforgettable vacation for me.
